Educated as Microwave Engineer at Twente University brought me via Thales, Nokia and ASTRON to SRON management. I lived in Finland, when working for Nokia, and in Australia, when working for Curtin University, in Perth. Thirty years in my career, I completed my PhD at Stellenbosch University, South Africa.
