ELT & HWO Community day

SRON Netherlands Institute for Space Research and NOVA would like to invite you to the first Dutch Community day for ELT and HWO on November 25-26 2024. This will be a two full-day event in Leiden during which we would like to discuss the synergy in Dutch efforts for the Science and Technology for ELT and HWO.

Program

Day one brings together experts in exoplanets and star-planet formation who are passionate about ELT/PCS. We will listen and discuss not only astronomy science but also cutting-edge technology, and we’ll aim to start the Dutch PCS science team.

Day two brings together the Dutch scientific, technological, experts to explore and showcase the Netherlands’ potential contributions to the Habitable Worlds Observatory (HWO) mission. The HWO is positioned as the successor to the Hubble Space Telescope, with a mission that promises to advance our understanding of the universe. Similar to Day 1, focus is technology as well as astronomy science related to HWO.
